The James Kob Project, "Because Of You" feat. Maria Schafer

I mentioned in my previous newsletter that the Kickstarter crowd-sourcing website would be available soon for the newest recording project I've been working on, and it's here! James Kob is a wonderful composer and guitarist that I've been working and recording with over the past year. This album, called "The James Kob Project - Because Of You", is a beautiful compilation of bossa novas and sambas, ballads, country, contemporary pop, and other genres, all written by James Kob and many of which feature me on vocals. He has a small record label called Partly Sunny Records, and will be releasing the project under this label. For those of you unfamiliar, Kickstarter is a crowd-sourcing website where people post information about their projects which need monetary funding, and wonderful supporters (like you!) can donate any amount of money to help fund the project. In this case, for any donation over $25, you will receive a copy of the album along with a limited edition t-shirt from the project. Even a $1 donation helps, so don't feel intimidated by that $25 marker!

This is a very humble project, we're not spending money on anything flashy or unnecessary, and the amount we're asking for is actually quite small for all the stages that are necessary to release a recording project. Our biggest goal is to get this project fully funded and release this beautiful music for people to enjoy. I find this album to be a lot of fun to listen to, there is beautiful instrumentation, and many of the lyrics are quite lovely as well.
