Big Band with The 17 Big Band
Grammy-winning record producer and arranger Jason “Spicy G” Goldman returns to Herb Alpert's Vibrato Grill Jazz to pay tribute to the Great American Songbook. Known for his extensive work with top-tier artists including Michael Bublé and David Foster, Goldman brings his swinging 17-piece big band to perform his energetic and vibrant arrangements.
Featuring guest vocalists Maria Schafer and Sydney DeFranco, the evening showcases Goldman’s signature style—lush, swinging big-band jazz that brings classic American standards to life with fresh energy and precision.
Dinner reservations start at 6PM, two sets starting at 7PM

Celebrate L.A.'s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October. This week, join us for a concert with The 17 Big Band.
Jason "Spicy G" Goldman is a Grammy-winning, multi-platinum music producer, composer, arranger, and engineer as well as the founder and leader of the 17 Big Band. Goldman's credits include production, writing, and arrangements for some the industry's most respected artists and producers, including David Foster, Rod Stewart, Herbie Hancock, and Meghan Trainor, among others. As an artist, he has released four albums under his own name. Deeply committed to music education, Goldman has been an educator for almost 25 years and serves as professor of practice and chair of jazz studies at the University of Southern California.
